Overview

Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin invites the public to attend Free First Sunday at Louisiana’s Old State Capitol on Sunday, May 1 from 1-4 p.m. For this month’s event, the museum is partnering with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System to host the annual Arts, Jazz, and Pizzazz Student Art Exhibition.

There will be art activities for guests, as well as a special performance by the Vermillion Duet. The musical ensemble will perform their concert, “The Greatest Music That You’ve Never Heard Before!” They will perform music by underrepresented composers who are helping to spread diversity and inclusion in today’s musical landscape. The performers will introduce each piece and be available to answer questions afterwards.

This event is free & open to the public.
