Parking Information
Parking is available at the rear of the museum, including designated handicap spaces and ADA accessible entrance.
Street parking is available alongside River Road and North Boulevard. There is also a parking garage located on the corner of 3rd St. and Convention St. about 2 blocks away.
Handicapped parking is available in the small lot behind the Old State Capitol. Public parking is available on the street, and there is a parking garage at the corner of Third and Convention.
Directions
Take I‑10 east towards Baton Rouge. When you cross the Mississippi River, stay in the left lane. Take the Convention Street exit and go eight blocks to the corner of Convention and Lafayette. Turn left on Lafayette Street, and you will be facing the Old State Capitol. The main entrance is at 100 North Boulevard.
Take I‑10 west towards Baton Rouge. As you near the Mississippi River Bridge, take I‑110 north and take the first exit to the right, Government Street. Turn left onto Government headed west. The street will curve and pass in front of the Old State Capitol. Turn right onto North Boulevard.
Take 1 – 110 south and take the Government Street exit. Turn right onto Government Street which will curve and pass in front of the Old State Capitol. Turn right onto North Boulevard.
