Symbols are a non-verbal way to communicate powerful ideas and goals. Learn about the history of art and imagery as symbols of unification and identity in the United States throughout our democratic history. Following a brief presentation on the history of political symbolism, guests are invited to create symbolic art and imagery on classic buttons as well as other artistic mediums. Guests are encouraged to create pieces of art that reflect a meaning and cause important to them. Several local organizations will be on hand to participate.
